Oppression-Based
Stress Support

The RESTORE Center supports the delivery of mindfulness and behavioral supports for resisting oppression-based stress (OBS). These supports can be provided in addition to PTSD treatments, or on their own.

Reconnect

The Reconnect Program teaches strategies for reconnection as well as resistance and coping skills for reducing oppression-based stress. We are currently offering Reconnect groups focused on resisting anti-black racism. We will soon be offering additional Reconnect groups for LGBTQ+ people and for immigrants and refugees.

Reconnect was co-developed with community and clinical partners who brought their valued lived and professional expertise in oppression-based stress. Each time we deliver the Reconnect group, participants also have the opportunity to provide feedback on how to improve the program.
